We build every table, and every product we sell in our woodshop in Bristol, Vermont! Our metalwork and powdercoat options are manufactured for us by local partners we've been working with for over a decade.
We build exclusively with North American hardwoods, sourced from local and regional partners. We can and do source speciality woods or woods with FSC certification when specified by our clients.
We are in the middle of an upgrade to the website and new pricing is rolling out on the site shortly! You will be able to purchase standard products on the site, and custom products you will be able to request a quote and our team will work with you on your custom project.
For everyday care of your table, we recommend using a clean, soft cloth and natural cleaner or mild soap and water. Keep your table clean and dry, and wipe up spills promptly.
Avoid using hard chemicals or abrasives, such as bleach, vinegar, lemon, or other acidic disinfecting solutions, as they will dull and damage the finish. Also avoid placing hot pans or dishes directly on the table, and do not leave damp objects (wet glasses, vases) on the table for any amount of time.
If something happens to your table, contact us and we’ll help walk you through repair and refinishing options! Your table can almost always be returned to its original finish quality, and many stains or marks will fade into the table over time.
Yes, we do! You may order any of our 18+ wood species and finish samples by visiting our Material Samples page.
For residential customers, any samples purchased may be returned to us with a pre-paid shipping label and credited toward a final purchase.
Trade partners receive complimentary samples, and if a custom sample is required for a project, there is a $150 custom sample fee.
We do not have a showroom at this time, however we have other options to help you design and visualize your table!
Our material samples are a great way to experience how the wood will look and feel in your home and can be ordered on the website. Our tables can also be viewed at a few locations in Vermont, please reach out for more information and resources!

Production lead-times vary depending on product and project scale, and can range from 4-6 weeks to 12-14 weeks.
Please reach out to us to confirm our current lead time. Our lead-times are for production only, and shipping transit times are in addition, and dependent upon delivery location and shipping methods.
We will always do our best to ship as soon as possible post-production. For more information on delivery lead-times, see “Shipping and Returns: How will my table ship?" below for delivery expectations and timing.
We want you to be completely smitten with your new Vermont Farm Table, but given the nature of building made-to-order custom furniture, we do not accept returns if you've changed your mind, don't like the color or style or it doesn't fit. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the table is able to fit into the final space. If a mistake is ours, we'll make it right. If you are not completely satisfied with your table, please let us know and we'll work together on a solution.
If your table has arrived damaged, please note the damage immediately with the shipping company, take pictures and call us. Keep the shippers on site until you've had a chance to discuss the issue with us.
If the table will require repair or if it's badly damaged it may make sense for the shipper to return the table to us and it's easier to coordinate this while they are still on site.
Many small dings and scratches can be repaired at home with direction from our team. For general care and maintenance of your table, please see Care & Maintenance information below.
Yes we do!
We have our own trucks for delivery within the Northeast and East Coast, and beyond we work with a network of delivery partners. We have also worked with overseas shippers for orders to Hawaii and other islands.
Tables are shipped fully-assembled, unless otherwise needed due to entry / space requirements or otherwise requested. Tables will arrive blanket-wrapped and be carried into your home for residential orders, and for trade orders, we deliver dock-to-dock.
Installation services are not provided by Vermont Farm Table, and if required for your project, please discuss options with our team before placing your order.
When your order is in final assembly in the woodshop, our team will reach out to let you know, and send along any remaining balance due invoices at that time, which are required to be paid prior to shipping.
Truck routing will begin during the final phases of production (scheduling your order onto a truck) and once departed from our woodshop, delivery will take anywhere from 1-6 weeks depending on final location of delivery. Deliveries within the Northeast are typically 1-2 weeks, and out to the West coast more like 4-6.
